Overview

This course introduces the syntax, features, code structure and coding conventions of C++. Emphasis is placed on teaching the central concepts of C++ syntax and style to achieve reusability, adaptability and reliability. Students will learn how to apply data abstraction and class design and careful attention is paid to code efficiency, performance and testing. The course does not require awareness or familiarity with object oriented programming techniques, but programming experience of some kind is assumed.
