Oracle Database Querying Fundamentals

Duration: 3 Days

This course provides a solid introduction to SQL (Structured Query Language). The course assumes no previous knowledge of SQL and SELECT statements, and takes delegates from simple queries, through to complex queries involving multiple tables, introducing the vast collection of built-in functions along the way. Although it provides an overview of relational database design principals, it does not cover formal database design processes or database and table creation. This course is aimed at developers, report writers, analysts and anyone who needs to extract information from data stored in a relational database. It is appropriate for users of Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g and Oracle 11g.

Delegates would benefit from a basic understanding of the concept of relational databases and terms such as table, column, row and relationship, although these concepts will be recapped at the start of the course.

Course includes

A comprehensive set of reference notes covering course topics, follow-up telephone support and, for training on Transmedia premises, lunch and refreshments.
