Onsite Surgeries
Surgeries are a task-oriented form of training particularly useful as a follow up to conventional classroom learning. They are based on the common circumstance that staff gain considerable benefits from a normal course but find that, back at their desks, they still have problems with a few specific tasks. Typically, a trainer visits client offices on a predetermined day with a diary already in place, with say one hour allocated per "patient". Since staff bring just one or two problems each to the surgery session, one trainer in one day is able to provide solutions for a team of eight people. This is therefore a particularly cost-effective way of solving many of the most pressing issues in a short space of time.
