The British Library - The British Library has renewed our contract again to teach staff the dos and don’ts of writing specifically for the web. We’ve delivered this specially developed course for many library staff now, with very positive feedback.
The BBC - Some years ago the BBC dramatically reduced its range of training providers in an effort to achive greater consistency across external provider provision. We’re happy to say we’re still there, teaching numerous BBC staff every year, mainly in print and video applications from Adobe and also in some more specialist creative tools from Apple and others.
Continental Tyre Group - A corporate account held since Transmedia's earliest days. Our first project with Continental required the assessment of staff at all levels, to provide a company-wide evaluation of computer training needs. The project demanded considerable logistical, analytical and interpersonal skills, with trainers individually selected for delegate groups in terms of personality, training style and area of expertise. This meant that whatever their position or background, delegates related well to their allocated trainers. A decade later, we are still working on projects for the same company.
The Guardian and Observer Group - Transmedia was appointed by the Guardian to help staff develop their skills in creating photographic cut-outs and composites. An unusual commission, and one that resulted in an unusual solution; delegates were required to make drawings of a variety of objects such as feathers, stones and flowers, helping develop their ability to recognise contours and shapes, which in turn gave their subsequent Photoshop training a solid basis in "old-fashioned" drawing skills.
